Tenor Giorgi Guliashvili was born in Georgia, where he completed his undergraduate studies before joining the Academy of Opera Singers at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Italy. With the company, he performed both leading and supporting roles in Naples and toured in other European cities. He later pursued postgraduate studies at Yale University and participated in top American summer festivals, including the Music Academy of the West and the Merola Opera Program, both in California.
In the summer of 2025 he will be making his Verbier Music Festival debut in Switzerland as the role of Gherardo in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi before also making his role debut as Lensky in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin at Verbier as well. Guliashvili makes his Royal Opera Debut this season and becomes a member of the prestigious Jette Parker Young Artist Programmme for the 2025-2027 seasons.
